Our farm had a modest beginning in February 2007 when we decided to get "a couple" goats to help control the blackberries on our property.  Our primary criteria was goats that didn't need to be milked and liked to eat.  We fell in love with the boers looks and personality and decided we needed some.  As it turned out, the first doe we bought kidded a nice show quality doe and I was hooked on showing. We now maintain a modest herd of about 15 breeding does and one buck.

In our breeding program we are striving to breed the most structurally correct, quality goats that will excel not only in the show ring but in production as well.  We are looking to improve on what we have by breeding for length, straight topline, width, correct teats and teeth, and of course muscle. We really like the more muscular look and want to improve that in our animals. We have worked hard to diversify our bloodlines and select animals which include the best of the boer goat characteristics not only in body type but mothering ability, ease of kidding and meat production. We hope to produce not only show quality animals but also 4-H and pet quality as well.

Our Current bloodlines include:

Our entire herd tested negative for CAE and CL 2/22/09

We test our herd yearly for both CAE/CL.

We like our goats to be friendly and willing to be handled and spend quality time daily handling them.  We hope this makes it easier for future owners wether they show or not.
